Each year we take on a major home improvement project. In the past it has been things like remodeling the bathrooms or tiling the kitchen & dining room floor. This year we put in automatic sprinklers! In the past, we had to pull hoses around the yard every night. We couldn't go anywhere in the summer without getting a house sitter or our lawn would die. Needless to say the sprinklers were a necessity!
Due to my current physical condition, I was limited to Supervisor and construction clean-up. So I am very proud of my husband for taking on such a HUGE undertaking alone!!! Jared rented a trencher, and with his brother Zeke's help, cut out trenches for all the lines.
Plus they had to dig out by hand all the spots for the sprinkler heads. But of course we chose the wettest weekend this year to start the project. So we had a few minor set backs, such as HUGE rain delays, flooded trenches, and broken water lines.
Despite the extended timeline and extra work, I am proud to report the sprinklers are installed, the grass is growing back , and we now have our evenings back.
